New U.S. defense secretary. New problem?
New U.S. defense secretary. New problem?
This week I bring to all of you another story about our government here in the United States. This article was posted to “The Washington Post” on January 12th by Missy Ryan and Dan Lamothe. As elected President Trump chooses a new U.S defense secretary James Mattis there is one question that is asked the most. Will Russia be a threat facing United States in the future? Will they break the NATO arguing over more support from Americans for the Europeans? Due to many budget cuts, James Mattis believes that American will be struggling to outmatch Russia and other Countries. Mattis stated “We must also embrace our international alliances and security partnerships. History is clear: Nations with strong allies thrive and those without them wither” This can lead to many changes to foreign policies that then can affect local ones. I learned that U.S stand the strongest military all over the world, but so much can change with the change of new leaders. This can affect everyone around the world, causing tension between countries that can lead to war. Affecting public policies within the government. War equals chaos and this should be prevented as soon as possible.
