On January 19th 2017 NBC published an article written by Phil Helsel. More and more people believe America is starting to make mistakes over and over again. Yup! They did it again. Does it make any sense to extradite a man from another country back into our own. Why do we have to take charge if that country can't keep their own prisoners locked up. This is the type of funds that are wasted. The same funds that can be sent to education but nope, the government wants to extradite El Chapo Guzman, a Mexican Drug Lord. The government wants to hold charges for federal drug trafficking with six separate indictments. The author of the articles was neutral as they just stated facts. However I feel that taking in more prisoners is just a waste of money and time. I learned that no matter how well maximum security is build, a man will still be able to escape and America wants to keep hunting down and swooping in. This will affect public policy as it may cause a raise in tax. Prisons grow larger and larger all the time and all the money is coming out of our taxes. So why should we take in people that the should be in prison in a whole different country?

New U.S. defense secretary. New problem?
New U.S. defense secretary. New problem?
This week I bring to all of you another story about our government here in the United States. This article was posted to “The Washington Post” on January 12th by Missy Ryan and Dan Lamothe. As elected President Trump chooses a new U.S defense secretary James Mattis there is one question that is asked the most. Will Russia be a threat facing United States in the future? Will they break the NATO arguing over more support from Americans for the Europeans? Due to many budget cuts, James Mattis believes that American will be struggling to outmatch Russia and other Countries. Mattis stated “We must also embrace our international alliances and security partnerships. History is clear: Nations with strong allies thrive and those without them wither” This can lead to many changes to foreign policies that then can affect local ones. I learned that U.S stand the strongest military all over the world, but so much can change with the change of new leaders. This can affect everyone around the world, causing tension between countries that can lead to war. Affecting public policies within the government. War equals chaos and this should be prevented as soon as possible.

An Apple Does Not Fall Far From It's Tree
Published to BBC by U.S and Canada on January 5th 2017 a powerful statement was released to the public about a certain terrorist. One who can globally threaten everyone. Related to Osama Bin Laden, was his favorite son. Hamza Bin Laden. Now in his late 20’s it was officially announced in 2015 that Hamza Bin Laden joined the terrorist group- Al-Qaeda, that his father was once in charge of. This may affect everyone as it can create new policy that can even start a war, as terrorist are unpredictable. Anything can happen and that leads us to be prepared in the best way we can. This starting a war can put America into debt. Which can create new laws and policy, but can also start another industrial revolution as it may affect the economy. From this article I learned about Hamza, I didn't even know that Osama Bin Laden had a son little to find out he's joined a terrorist group. Within the article there were no sides taken as the information was just published to the public. But finding out so late shows all the information the the government is hiding from their people. How does it take two years to publicly announce that Hamza Bin Laden was joined with Al-Qaeda? This leaves us thinking about who has the power to keep this type of information away from us and who is charge and controls what is doing to prevent these things from happening.
